It’s because I am walking on a dream,
and there is no way I can explain.
I know my eyes are closed, and I can’t be awake,
but it feels so real, and there is no way it can be fake.
I look in the mirror, confused.
I judge my own reflection, as though I have met it for the first time.
I begin to question why I am staring at this reflection.

Two strangers in a circle of life,
together tangled in a binding of faith.
They walk alone, trying to find each other,
not knowing who the other may be.
Always, have they been thinking –
thinking of that special person that they want in their life.
But they have not yet found each other,
because they are still walking along the path.
The path takes them here, and not there –
far, but not near.
They keep walking, and walking,
and from the path they never stray.
They know that it will lead them somewhere –
somewhere in which they belong.
They feel the strength of the faith that pulls them together –
a feeling that seems like forever.
Finally reaching the ending point of the path,
they see each other, and don’t say a word.
Their feelings begin to skyrocket;
they run to each other and just stare each other up and down.
They begin to tell each other their life stories,
about how they have been waiting for that person.
Together, forever, is what they said,
and together, forever, they were, until their death.
