Walking on a Dream

It’s because I am walking on a dream,
and there is no way I can explain.
I know my eyes are closed, and I can’t be awake,
but it feels so real, and there is no way it can be fake.

I feel a floating sensation that has entered my heart;
I try to repel it, but it has begun to start –
to start the eternal beat that will never end until my death;
it started when I first saw your face and took my first breath.

That day, I told myself I had to meet you,
but I was too shy and was a little scared.
Until one day, I got the courage, but was unprepared,
and when I approached you, my mind became impaired.

I rehearsed what I was going to say,
went up to you, and spilled my heart.
You looked at me in a way that said you felt the same way,
and we became friends, and our love started.
Then I saw a gleam and realized that it was only a dream.
